The raffia is naturally dyed and intricately coiled to reflect the fiery beauty of twilight on Gomeroi Country. Each pendant hangs from a black cord and is adorned with a textured seed bead, adding a grounded, earthy charm. Each jewellery piece by Gomeroi artist Debbie Wood is handwoven using natural raffia, ethically sourced feathers, and organic seed beads. To keep your jewellery looking beautiful and strong, we recommend the following care:

🌿 General Care

Avoid water exposure: These are natural fibre pieces—remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, or heavy exercise to prevent water damage.

Keep away from perfumes and sprays: Chemicals can weaken the fibres and alter the natural dyes.

Store with care: Keep your jewellery in a dry place, ideally in the box provided or a fabric pouch. Avoid crushing or folding woven elements.

☀️ Sunlight & Heat

Store away from direct sunlight when not in use, as long exposure may fade the colours over time.

Avoid leaving your jewellery in hot cars or near heaters.

🧼 Cleaning

Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or a clean, dry makeup brush.

Do not soak or scrub. If needed, lightly spot clean raffia with a slightly damp cloth and allow to air dry naturally—no dryers or heaters.

🪶 Feathers

For sets featuring emu feathers, avoid getting the feathers wet or tangled.

If they become bent, gently reshape with your fingers—never pull or comb.
