Maree McCrum
Maree McCrum’s work is layered, lyrical, and deeply personal. For this year’s Affordable Art Fair, she turns her gaze to Sydney—capturing places that hold special meaning through her signature mixed media style. Her pieces are rich with texture and gentle abstraction, offering glimpses of city streets, harbourside corners, and hidden neighbourhood nooks reimagined with a dreamlike softness. These aren’t just landscapes; they’re memory maps, each one quietly humming with sentiment and nostalgia.
Using paper, paint, pencil and collage, Maree creates artworks that feel both contemporary and timeless. Her intuitive approach brings warmth and whimsy to every surface, with marks and textures that draw the viewer in for a closer look. This collection reflects Maree’s personal connection to Sydney while staying true to the gentle charm and emotional depth that collectors have come to love in her work.
