Wayne Emerson
Wayne Emerson | Collection Feature
There’s a special kind of joy that fills the gallery when Wayne Emerson is painting—and if you’ve met him, you’ll know why. Usually dressed in his signature hot pink, Wayne brings colour, warmth, and a whole lot of personality to every session.
At 72, Wayne has Down syndrome and has become a much-loved part of our gallery community. For nearly five years, he’s been painting with us twice a week, showing incredible dedication and a genuine love for all things arts and crafts.
Before this chapter, Wayne worked for 42 years at Kurrajong Timber. Now in retirement, he’s embraced a creative life filled with painting, making, and connecting with others—and it truly shines through in his work.
Wayne’s artworks are vibrant, expressive, and full of heart. They celebrate the joy of creating, without rules or expectations—just colour, feeling, and fun.
To celebrate Wayne and his artistic journey, all of his artworks are currently on sale—a beautiful opportunity to take home something that is as joyful and genuine as he is.
