School Holiday Art Workshops

Creative holidays start here

Our school holiday workshops are colourful, hands-on and full of imaginative projects for children to make and take home.

We provide the materials, guidance and encouragement. The children provide the ideas!

Something different every holiday

No two yellowhouseart holiday programs are exactly the same.

One day we might be making jewellery, and the next we could be painting ceramics, decorating treasure boxes, creating fairy gardens or building an underwater world.

Each activity is carefully planned to be fun, achievable and interesting enough to keep young creative minds busy.

Our artists demonstrate each project and guide the children step by step, while always leaving room for their own ideas, colour choices and personalities.

We love seeing how twenty children can begin with the same activity and create twenty completely different finished pieces.

Our workshops often sell out

Some activities fill very quickly, particularly our most popular school holiday sessions. We recommend booking early when each new program is released so your child does not miss their favourite activity.

Activities

Every school holiday program is different, with activities such as fairy gardens, jewellery making, polymer clay projects, ceramic painting, scrapbooking, treasure boxes, under-the-sea dioramas, lightbox painting, zine making and our colourful Bead Bonanza. Each workshop gives children the guidance and materials they need, while leaving plenty of room for their own ideas, colour choices and creative personalities.

For confident creators and quiet observers

Some children jump straight into an activity. Others like to watch, listen and take a little time before getting started.

Both approaches are perfectly okay.

Our teachers are patient, friendly and experienced in helping children feel comfortable in the studio.

Our team holds current Working With Children Checks, and first aid-qualified staff are available. We also have a Quiet Zone for children who need a short break from the noise or group activity.

Children using self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding are welcome at suitable workshops. Please contact us before booking if your child has individual support needs.

Family workshops

From time to time, we hold family workshops where mums, dads, grandparents or another special grown-up can book a place and create alongside the children.

These sessions are always lots of fun and are a lovely way to make something—and a few memories—together.

Each person completing the activity will need their own booking unless the workshop description states otherwise.

Frequently Asked Questions
